COMMUNITY GUIDELINES

values
This community is built on reciprocity, authenticity, open-mindedness, connection, respect, vulnerability, inclusion, and empathy. (No ‘isms’ allowed.)

tone
This isn't about being perfect or out-performing other moms in any way. Bring your authentic self: flaws and doubts and wins and losses and all. And bring a generosity of spirit that allows others to feel safe to do the same.

participation
We use Slack as the medium for convening so that it can easily be incorporated into your every day via desktop or mobile. It’s designed to be what you need when you need it, but in general, this community works best if everyone gives a lot and takes a little.

privacy
What happens inside SOWM stays inside SOWM. Never volunteer information about another member if they haven’t publicly volunteered it about themselves.

no sales
First and foremost, this is a community to give and get mom-to-mom support. Period. It is not a space to push your new product, get signups for your app, or get clients. (But if that happens as a result of authentic relationship building, then so be it!)

Note: if you are a coach for working moms or the founder of an app or product geared towards working moms, you are welcome to join so long as you are joining to give and receive support as a working mom.
If you are looking to build a user base or client pipeline, this won’t be a good fit for you, community-wise.
